24 years in the Royal Corps of Signals as a System's Technician which was then renamed to Royal Signals Engineer, and is now IS Engineer. Served in the UK, Germany, Cyprus and Kenya with tours in the Falkland islands, Iraq and Afghanistan. I am currently working as a Custodian, managing the protected material for a very busy, extremely high readiness unit. The majority of my career has been working at managerial level for both personnel and equipment, performing a multitude of duties from teaching to welfare to mentoring, and ensuring my Engineers have the opportunity to gain the qualifications and experience they require to get the best out of themselves, for themselves and the Corps.I enjoy Carp Fishing and mountaineering, which includes winter, summer and alpine, completing Mt Kenya seven times to date and several high altitude mountains in Switzerland. I have led several expeditions in the UK, mainly in Wales and Scotland.I am looking to live and work in mainland Europe with my wife, currently favouring Germany. I am also very happy to work outside the EU.
