Running a team of ten communications engineers in various locations across Kenya, I was the project lead on many taskings, ranging from the roll-out of a new IT system to fitting Satellite communications in remote areas. I was the liaison between British Army Training Unit Kenya (BATUK) and our civilian communications contractors, ensuring we get the best equipment for our needs at the best prices, often having to trail the kit in remote location.

I have worked in various countries around the world on differing equipment, from fixed communications systems in the Falkland Islands to deploying mobile satellite equipment to remote areas of Africa. I have deployed as the lead of a small four man team to maintain safety critical detachments in some hostile territories and lead projects installing fixed communications systems that have maintained the safety and operating capability of thousands of personnel.
