Mr James de Souza spent several years in the United States, Texas before returning to Singapore and now actively travels to various parts of Asia. He currently holds the position of founder and managing director of GEA Institute and GEA Malaysia which works closely with renowned universities and organizations such as Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Tsing Hua University and PECB (ANSI). He has more than 15 years of experience in education management and training in Asia. Founded several businesses and acts as advisor and consultant for businesses in Asia. He actively works closely with key stakeholders from senior managements of global organizations such as Global Foundries and the World Bank. He holds various qualifications in the field of economics, business management, strategy, innovation and training and development from globally recognized Universities such as the National University of Singapore and the Nanyang Technological University. He is also a certified trainer with Skills Future Singapore ACTA certification and a lecturer. He works closely with HRD practitioners from Singapore Human Resources Institute (SHRI), Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM) and several other global organizations. He was also mentored by pupil of Dr Chris Argyris and Dr Dave Heenan of Harvard.On top of his executive and training roles, James plays an active role in leading and being involved in the setting up and financing of new companies.
