I worked for Waddell & Reed as a Sr. Financial Planning Consultant. We supervised the Choice Advisors financial planning activity directly and were secondary supervisors for the field on the Classic Advisors. We were also part of a multi-departmental team on a long term project to adjust OSJ functions from depending mostly on field supervision to a multi-faceted supervisory approach where most of the control would transition to the home office. This involved setting up workflows, procedures, and technology to affect this change efficiently as possible. I was privileged to work with Compliance and FAD (Marketing arm of Financial Planning) and several other departments to adjust to the many changes in regulations impacting our industry including, but not limited to, the Fiduciary Rule introduced by Department of Labor.

I worked with other attorneys, teams, business owners as needed, as well as departments within The Leaders Group to achieve diverse goals. I was also the leader of the transition team made up of senior employees from many different departments. During my time we grew from roughly 200 producing Representatives and Advisors to roughly 500.

I was responsible for promoting Flexible Plan's Advisory products as presenter and product expert for Advisors, insurance companies, and general agency groups in a 4 state region. I also presented to large and small groups of 401k plan participants through Nationwide and other 401k companies. .
