I opened and led Karpinski's Pittsburgh office where I connected with clients and led projects across multiple market sectors, with a focus on healthcare and higher education.

With Burt Hill experience in the USA and in Dubai, I helped my colleagues around the globe work together as an integrated team. As the leader of the Dubai energy modeling team, I worked to share expertise between the energy modeling team in the USA with my team in the UAE. My team of energy modelers used some of the most advanced software in the world to analyze architectural and MEP designs. My knowledge of LEED rating systems was an important area of expertise in Dubai. As one of the first LEED accredited professionals in the Middle East, I was an active contributor in Burt Hill’s focus area of sustainability, both in the office and in the design of MEP systems and architecture.I served as an energy modeler, a mechanical designer, and a MEP coordinator on several high-profile mixed-use and healthcare projects. Leading MEP designers on projects, I was able to effectively coordinate the work of numerous professional disciplines to meet fast track deadlines while completing quality control reviews.

As an engineering intern in Kampala, Uganda, I worked throughout Uganda and into Southern Sudan designing buildings for NGOs.
