Our single office setting has transitioned from a hub and satellite model into an interdisciplinary multi-specialty clinic - the Novant Health Center for Pediatric Development (NHCPD). The Center houses Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics with Audiology, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Social Work, Nutrition, and rotating clinics with Neurosurgery and Craniofacial/Cleft Surgery. Our space also houses a private ABA therapy company where children receive ABA therapy.- Working with the Novant Health grant writing teams to provide clinical input and direction in applying for NHCPD funding.- Coordinating with the Novant Health Foundation in efforts to obtain philanthropic funding to help support the NHCPD.- Creating a market plan with the Novant Health marketing team to provide improved outreach. - In 2021, our interdisciplinary NICU Follow-Up Clinic with DBP, Nutrition, and Physical Therapy during the NICU Developmental Clinic has demonstrated the benefits, workflow, and viability of a collaborative care clinic. - In 2022, a monthly teaching lecture series from individual specialties and also outside community partners is planned to continue to build collaborative relationships and allow team members to learn from our interdisciplinary network.

In the five years, while functioning as a lead physician, the program has grown from a solo physician and nurse practitioner to now three physicians, four advanced physician providers, and has expanded from one single discipline location into an interdisciplinary multi-specialty center. - All physicians have performed at the 75th percentile for wRVU production, and the program continues to grow through hospital system, grant, and philanthropic support. - Creation of the Physician-Psychometrist partnership has increased productivity, improved access, and psychologist testing support for providers.- Developing the Physician-Advanced Practice Provider collaborative partnership has led to improved access and continued care for our patient population. Physicians perform most of the new patient evaluations, and APPs provide most of the follow-up care.- Creation of the RISE (Resilient Individuals Strengthening Everyday) program has led to increased screening of ACEs and social determinants of health. A social worker position has been established to help provide resources for resiliency for patients, families, and team members.- Read Out and Read partnership with Reach Out and Read Carolinas provides a book to all children, ages 0-5, at all visits. We are one of the only subspecialty clinics in the nation to have a partnership with Reach Out and Read.- Named Charlotte’s "Top Doctor" for Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics in 2020 and 2021 by Charlotte Magazine and Castle Connolly.
