- The role of the medical director serves to bring different specialties together through leadership and program development. Our single office setting has transitioned from a hub and satellite model into an interdisciplinary multi-specialty clinic - the Novant Health Center for Pediatric Development (NHCPD). The Center houses Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics with Audiology, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Social Work, Nutrition, and rotating clinics with Neurosurgery and Craniofacial/Cleft Surgery. Our space also houses a private ABA therapy company where children receive ABA therapy.- Working with the Novant Health grant writing teams to provide clinical input and direction in applying for NHCPD funding.- Coordinating with the Novant Health Foundation in efforts to obtain philanthropic funding to help support the NHCPD.- Creating a market plan with the Novant Health marketing team to provide improved outreach. - In 2021, our interdisciplinary NICU Follow-Up Clinic with DBP, Nutrition, and Physical Therapy during the NICU Developmental Clinic has demonstrated the benefits, workflow, and viability of a collaborative care clinic. - In 2022, a monthly teaching lecture series from individual specialties and also outside community partners is planned to continue to build collaborative relationships and allow team members to learn from our interdisciplinary network.

- Hired to lead and build the hospital system's developmental and behavioral pediatrics program. In the five years, while functioning as a lead physician, the program has grown from a solo physician and nurse practitioner to now three physicians, four advanced physician providers, and has expanded from one single discipline location into an interdisciplinary multi-specialty center. - All physicians have performed at the 75th percentile for wRVU production, and the program continues to grow through hospital system, grant, and philanthropic support. - Creation of the Physician-Psychometrist partnership has increased productivity, improved access, and psychologist testing support for providers.- Developing the Physician-Advanced Practice Provider collaborative partnership has led to improved access and continued care for our patient population. Physicians perform most of the new patient evaluations, and APPs provide most of the follow-up care.- Creation of the RISE (Resilient Individuals Strengthening Everyday) program has led to increased screening of ACEs and social determinants of health. A social worker position has been established to help provide resources for resiliency for patients, families, and team members.- Read Out and Read partnership with Reach Out and Read Carolinas provides a book to all children, ages 0-5, at all visits. We are one of the only subspecialty clinics in the nation to have a partnership with Reach Out and Read.- Named Charlotte’s "Top Doctor" for Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics in 2020 and 2021 by Charlotte Magazine and Castle Connolly. Award was nominated and voted on by medical community peers.

- Serving as a certified EPIC Physician Builder, PowerUser, and Superuser for our hospital system as I work to improve the pre-visit process by building forms, questionnaires, and patient education.- Focusing on developing a thorough pre-visit process to enable the provider to spend more time talking and less time typing. By getting the needed information before the visit, the provider can connect on a deeper level during the visit. - Other projects include developing E-Consults and E-Visits for the Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics Department to provide improved access and reimbursement for services.- In 2022, will be applying to sit for the Clinical Informatics boards based on the cumulative work invested over the past five years.

- Established the clinic in 2017 to serve the needs of the community, primarily for patients discharged from our NICU. The clinic is held every Monday and serves over 500 children and families each year. - In 2021, the clinic has expanded to continue care for children ages 3-5 with externalizing conditions by providing Triple P Group Seminars and Parent Child Interaction Therapy.- I am trained and certified in delivering individual Level 3 Triple P, Level 3 Group Triple P, and Level 3 Teen Triple P. Funding for training provided the Charlotte Mecklenburg Health Department. - PCIT provided by a LCSW with the salary supported through grant funding awarded from the Foundation of the Carolinas and private philanthropic support coordinated through the Novant Health Foundation.

- Early Childhood Executive Committee, Novant Health Representative (2021- current) - The Early Childhood Education (ECE) Executive Committee is responsible for developing Mecklenburg County’s Action Plan for Early Childhood Education. The Action Plan has led to the expansion of child care subsidies for families with children under age five and the creation of MECK Pre-K.- Novant Health Community Partner Engagement Team, Member (2020 - current) - Working with the political action members for the hospital system to advocate for specific issues such as health equity and telehealth parity.
