Responsible for the monitoring and apprehension of any employee or shopper who is caught stealing merchandise from the department store. Ensured that all the policies and procedures are followed when detaining a potential shoplifter to reduce store liability. Currently looked upon as a valued associate and have lead the team in overall stops since being hired in April of 2013. Also possess working knowledge of installing and maintaining security camera’s for the department store to ensure that adequate coverage of store merchandise is view-able at any given time.

• Duties included monitoring the ongoing activities of the nightclub during operational hours to ensure the safety of both the customers and the employees. Developed ongoing relationships with customers to provide an inviting and calm atmosphere, quickly diffused hostile situations and removed those patrons who had lost control of their actions and posed a threat towards one another or towards staff. Made sure that team members were always in the proper positions and kept their eyes open for signs of possible altercations. Ensured the safe, timely, and controlled evacuation of the building after the venue has closed for the evening. And participated in light traffic control as customers left in their vehicles. Developed ongoing relationships with local law enforcement and worked alongside them when engaging in crowd control. Was promoted to co-manager during final year of employment for demonstrating effective work habits. And was ensured that a position would always be open should a return ever be warranted.

Maintained 24hr surveillance of at risk youth between the ages of 10 to 17 and chronicled their everyday activities down on paper daily for up to 10 youth at any given time.
