I have moved out of managing a functional team, to focus full-time on developing potential applications for Reaction Engines' technology in ammonia-based systems that can play a part in the future hydrogen economy.

I studied how to improve combusting flows inside of a Rectangular to Elliptical Shape Transition (REST) Scramjet engine through the application of tailored fuel injection, working under the SCRAMSPACE program at UQ. My study was primarily computational, though some experiments were carried out near the end of 2013. My research work led to my developing a deep understanding of the challenges in scramjet combustion, as well as expanding my practical capabilities in the areas of CFD, mesh generation, and data analysis.During my candidature, I spent time as both a teaching assistant (ENGG 1100 - Introduction to Engineering & MECH 4800 - Space Engineering) and a research assistant. My research assistant work included performing multiple simulations on suppressing irregular shock refractions in a notional Magento-Hydrodynamic (MHD) plasma.

Working behind the scenes to make sure everyone gets a grade, a department, and whatever else needs doing.

I returned to Stantec on a four month contract to assist with a metering expansion project.

Wind tunnel experiments for visualization of flow structures inside a RBCC engine during steady state, and transition between, two operating modes at Mach 4.

1. Engineering work on a variety of oil transport systems, including pump and pipeline sizing.2. Project Management Assistance, including serving as mechanical lead on a small project, high level scheduling with MS Project.3. Business development engineering, including the generation of technical layouts and specifications for proposed work packages.
