James E. Chodzko is Of Counsel to Duckor, Spradling, Metzger and Wynne. For over 25 years, James' practice was devoted to the representation of entities and individuals involved in insurance coverage, legal malpractice, serious personal injury, wrongful death, products liability, business, construction defect, design professional and environmental claims.After serving as a full time mediator, discovery referee, and arbitrator in various civil disputes, Mr. Chodzko has returned to his litigation practice.Mr. Chodzko has extensive trial experience, having tried over 50 cases to verdict before juries, as well as numerous bench trials, arbitrations, and administrative hearings. He has also represented a party before the California Bar Court.Mr. Chodzko has been published in the landmark opinion Markborough California, Inc. v. Superior Court (1992) 227 Cal.App.3d 705 and Pacific v. A.A. Baxter (1986) 176 Cal.App.3d 577. He also served as trial counsel for Woodward, Clyde and Associates in the landmark U.S. Supreme Court decision in Tech Built v.
