Train advisors and career coordinators across campus on our majors, as well as advising technology and best practices, including proactive advising. Specialty in graduation audit systems, degree map programming, virtual advising and integration of new policies/procedures, as well as orientation programming. I also enjoy video editing (creating educational training videos for students and staff to follow to help them with the advising technology they have available), as well as helping staff and students get the most out of advising appointments by helping them learn the technology and tools available. In my current position, I am also the one that works with faculty on curriculum development and changes, as well as course exceptions, graduation audits, and making sure the advising systems are running correctly; Along with still maintaining my own advising caseload (undergrad and graduate students).

As Assistant Director, I take pride in collaborating with current and potential SPEA students to provide timely information and aspirational insights to reach their academic and career goals. Along with advising, I implemented and oversee our new SPEA Peer Advising program, provide group advising workshops to educate students on advising resources, engage and grow our SPEA Ambassadors, teach career and academic courses, as well as mentor our advisors to ensure best practices when collaborating with students.
