Gaston, MBA FHIMSS is a healthcare executive facilitating advanced understanding of analytics and leading digital transformation. James has extensive provider, payor, and global consulting experience having worked with Ministries of Health in many European and Asia-Pac countries as well as with all sizes of providers across the United States. Through HIMSS, a non-profit professional healthcare organization James has presented in global forums promoting data informed insights, health equity, analytics against coronavirus, and advanced analytics solutions like Good Machine Learning Practices (GMLP). James is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and has served as ACHE faculty for over a decade, teaching healthcare executives how to develop a culture of analytics and effectively mature the skills to leverage data informed insights. James currently works with Parkland Health & Hospital System (PHHS) in Dallas, Texas serving as VP of Enterprise Data / Chief Data Officer. In this role James is focusing on increasing the depth and breadth of analytics value and positioning PHHS as a national example of advancing health equity through excellence as a public health system.
