West Africa

• Worked as a SR. ET on 6th generation drillship. Maintain preventative maintenance schedule using SAP. Report to the RMS daily on the status of all jobs and manage a team of 4 ET’s. Maintain a safe working environment.
• Maintain the following systems: GE (Converteam) thruster drives, Rolls Royce thruster, ABB air liquid cooled drives (Drive windows), Huisman SCADA based drilling system, NOV Amphion drilling system, Siemens STEP 7.
• I also was responsible for maintaining ship based gantry crane, 80 ton crane, 100 ton crane, and knuckle boom cranes. Maintained ships galley and laundry equipment as well as personnel elevators.
• Maintained software/equipment registers. Assisted with commissioning of the ships control systems, drilling package and sea trial.

Houston, Texas Area

• Managed team of 10 service electricians based in Houston TX and serviced 43 land based rigs throughout the US.
• Maintained company inventory and service record database. Managed preventative maintenance schedule. Scheduled and supervised upgrades. Answered 24/7 service calls and troubleshoot over phone.
• Maintained good rapport with rig managers and superintendents.

Edmonton, Canada Area

• Serviced land based drilling rigs in Canada and the US. Set up commissioned new rig builds and managed team of electricians to retrofit new control systems onto older generation rigs.
• Troubleshoot and maintained ABB and Unico AC Drives, Ross Hill SCR systems, Omron based PLC networks, Digital and analog input/output devices, 600V-480V MCC motor centers, 1500 HP GE 600V AC motors, 120V/480V/600V AC.

• Worked with team of Electricians to build and commission state of the art land based drilling rigs. Wired drillers consoles and PLC Cabinets.
• Run interconnecting multi-conductor cables for communication/power distribution and controls. Run rigid conduit in classified and non-classified locations.
• Wired in AC motors and MCC lineups. Installed buss-bar and cabling for ABB drive lineups. Assisted with commissioning rig after construction.
