After realizing the need for a change, I took a job working as a business manager my local church that was growing exponentially. In a short amount of time, I learned how to run the bookkeeping of a growing organization, raise capital, as well as plan and execute on project financing.I then had the opportunity to join another growing organization, Parts Life, Inc, as the Finance Manager.I was promoted several times to Chief Financial Officer full responsibility of finance, accounting, acquisitions, legal, and information systems. During my tenure as CFO we:✅ Acquired DeVal Life Cycle Support (formerly DeVal Corporation)✅ Acquired LC Engineers, Inc.✅ Successfully integrated both companies in the PLI family.✅ Closed over $10M in financing deals including acquisition financing, working capital, equipment financing, and more.✅ Led the implementation of a Balanced Score Card driven culture including KPIs, metrics, and monthly evaluations of operations, finance, business development, and people development.After 5+ years helping Parts Life grow, I accepted a new challenge as Vice President of Finance and Contracts for EEW American Offshore Structures located in South Jersey.As a global manufacturing leader, EEW made a strategic investment into its newest manufacturing plant to produce the world's largest monopiles for offshore wind.In my short time with EEW I led efforts to secure project financing in excess of $100M, drive compliance in financial reporting to both GAAP and IFRS standards, as well as negotiate commercial contracts.However, as exciting of a career trajectory I was on, in my heart I knew small business was always near and dear.This passion ultimately led me to focus on launching Backbone CFO - a company with a mission that aligned with my own. We exist to help entrepreneurs 10x their growth so they can fulfill their purpose and passion.
