Significant experience of successfully driving sustainable start-up and scale-up growth, leading the creation of new organisations, departments and autonomous business units across non-profit and private sectors, small and large organisations, different locations and cultures, in the UK and internationally.I thrive when taking a great idea that has just started and making it reality: fully embedded, just “the way we do things round here”. In doing so I act as a catalyst, bringing teams, functions and business units together, and I love the discovery, learning and evolving challenge that comes with this journey.Having led the scaling of teams and organisations from 0 to 50 people on 5 different occasions, I have a substantial track record of:- scaling-up new business models and organisations- building and leading teams through change;- implementing effective business processes and oversight to support growth;- influencing across diverse functions, cultures and geographies- supporting Boards to deliver change.I have also led teams through other major changes, such as downsizing, carve outs, mergers and separations.I am recognised for bringing a pragmatic approach to business issues and a focus on successful delivery through building motivated teams, underpinned by a broad commercial mindset and the strong operational foundation of my earlier blue chip FD & CFO experience.Using my mix of growth, scale-up and cross-functional experience, I am interested in helping the non-profit sector scale up and develop new capabilities or navigate significant change on either an interim or permanent basis. This could be either in a senior management position (eg MD, COO, Change Lead, CFO) or as an adviser.
