Karmarama were without a TV department until I joined. I became responsible for setting one up: fostering supplier partnerships, and creating a roster of talented and experienced agency producers. In addition to the day-to-day running of the department I believe I became a significant part of improving the quality of Karmarama’s TV and content output - as both a Head of Dept and Producer. While at Karmarama the agency created acclaimed TV and content campaigns for BBC Music, Clydesdale Bank, Age UK, Hartley’s Jelly, Cobra Beer, Pilgrim’s Choice, The Army, and Confused.com. I’ve also worked closely with Kream, the Groups in-house production company, to provide a point of view to the agency as to when they should be utilised.

My inaugural project at Saatchi & Saatchi was the 3rd instalment of the agency’s showcase T-Mobile campaign. ‘Welcome Back’ was a massive undertaking: shooting a live event in a high profile location, the complexity of the music score, and only 48hrs from shoot to launch. I produced all of the subsequent T-Mobile ads: Royal Wedding (achieving 20 million hits in 3 weeks), Parking Ticket & What Britain Loves. I also produced the Toyota Yaris “Smart Money” campaign - working with the acclaimed music video directors Jonas & Francois. The final campaign for Saatchis had me working with Kevin Bacon for EE. I was responsible for not only the contract negotiations with his attorney and agent, but also the licensed properties, personalities and franchises that we used within thecampaign. I can now boast a Bacon Factor of 1.

I worked across all of The Red Brick Road’s accounts and across many production disciplines: from big & glamorous global Heineken ads, to the more everyday Tesco retail - plus all shapes and sizes in between. I was responsible for: contracting big name celebrities such as John McEnroe and Martin Sheen, finding new directors for ongoing campaigns, and shooting commercials myself for pitches. I worked very closely with Ruby, The Red Brick Road’s digital arm. With Ruby, (and other digital partners such as Unit 9 and Golden Gekko) I produced content for iPhone apps, websites, banners, interactive websites, and virals.
