- Vice President of Engineering/Network Operations for rural Cellular Service provider to the bottom (27) counties of southern Illinois.- Duties included executive reporting, team supervision of Engineering department, capacity planning and growth and liaison to Sales/Marketing and Network Operations.- Reviewed Architectural and Engineering drawings for pre-construction and zoning hearings.- Attended local zoning hearings as needed, to discuss concerns from the general public.- Initialized and completed CDMA sectorized overlay across entire omni-analog (AMPS) only network.- Added (40) additional sites complete with sectorized CDMA technology to network. New sites were constructed to accommodate co-location opportunities for the other major Tier 1 carriers moving into southern Illinois. This introduced a new revenue stream to the company. This project came in under the $27 million budget allocated and was completed in (18) months.- Served on Illinois Phase 2 Wireless 911 state board for implementation of wireless 911 infrastructure in southern Illinois.- Provided numerous training sessions for junior Engineers and Network Operations technicians for “best practices” on network optimization and data analysis required for capacity planning and performance improvement.

Chicago, Il/ Dallas, Tx.

- Lead RF Engineer/Mgr. Field and Switch Operations. Responsible for network design, capacity growth, optimization and technology upgrades in Chicago, Il. market initially.- Transferred to Dallas, Tx. market as Lead RF Engineer. Later in my tenure there, I was promoted to Manager of Field Operations/Switch Operations for the same market. - During this time, I was part of the team that orchestrated a total infrastructure rip/replace from Motorola to Lucent equipment on a “live network”, carrying commercial traffic.
