He is also an early investor in Simpliphi Power, a company that manufactures clean and affordable energy storage systems; Vestaron, a biological insecticide technology that is an effective alternative to synthetic types and is often a more sustainable option for crops, for the environment and for people ingesting them; invested in Bonumose (a company the Hershey corporation recently invested in) innovating new and rare healthy natural sugars.He created Citizen 007 Media in 2020 and Ferrari Media Productions (FMP) in 2005 as the holding company for all communications and film, art, and multimedia projects. "A Mouthful of Air" starring Amanda Seyfried, Paul Giamatti, Amy Irving, Finn Wittrock, and Britt Robertson; "After The Fall" a documentary on Trauma 911 and natural disasters and Covid19 2021; "The Dream Revisited" on Harry Belafonte in 2021; a documentary on legendary photographer Peter Beard slated for release in 2023; "The Vessel", in pre-production with Maven Pictures. In 2023, James served as associate producer on the documentary award winning film “Hummingbirds”.James Ferrari founded Benjamin James Real Estate and Benjamin James Media in 1993. He built a four office 150-person brokerage marketing company. In 2002, his Real Estate firm had over 10,000 exclusive listing and worked with many brand new developments such as the new state-of-the-art high-rise building 21 Chelsea at 120 West 21st in New York City. James currently is on the board of The Threshold Foundation. He is an active member of The Common Good US, The African Rainforest Conservancy, MIT Media Lab, The Foreign Policy Association, The Marshall Project, National Advisory Board of the The News Literacy Project, Synergos Institute and the Datapop Alliance. He is a previous Board Member of The Ubuntu Education Fund in Portsmith, South Africa. In 2004/2006, he was on Mayor Bloomberg's Sister Cities Committee of NYC Johannesburg.
