Aunty Lenas's Bar/Adare Courthouse is a local gastro pub located within Adare village in county Limerick that lies alongside the Limerick to Tralee roundabout. Founded in 1806 by the Chawke family, it continues to serve its patrons with great success keeping the bar as a focal part of the community.Situated within a tourist town, Aunty Lena's enjoys the benefit of an abundance of local history and attractions, attracting people from the around country and internationally who come to take in the local sights. Such as the Trinitarian Abbey founded in 1272, which is the only church of its kind in the country, and the Adare Manor, famous for its Irish and Welsh heritage and more recently its hosting of the pro-am golf tournament in 2022. My responsibilities included welcoming customers into the premises and seating them accordingly, issuing food and beverage menus to their tables and taking their orders. I offered my personal opinion on food and alcohol while making alternative suggestions or alterations based on their individual dietary needs. Other responsibilities included working the bar, promoting the daily specials and the company's own legacy lager and pale ale. Reservation management via the telephone or in person, group catering, minor supervisory roles and the organisation of staff in the absence of a manager. Naturally being a history buff I went the extra mile to inform tourists of some of the local attractions such as Aunty Lena's very own Adare Courthouse founded in 1836 that operated as a small claims district court until 2009. Charlie Chawke would later purchase the abandoned building in 2018 and extend the building into Aunty Lena's main room. Using the bottom floor as a function room which still houses the old jail cell and original flooring. The upper floor houses the courtroom itself which has been converted into a gallery which displays the history of the Earls of Dunraven and their importance to the village of Adare.

Contact tracing involves conducting three types of calls.1. To inform an individual that their recent PCR test has returned positive for Covid19 and to offer them public health advice and to encourage them to isolate for ten days minimum away from their family and the general public. 2. To contact a positive patent after they have been informed of their result in order to collect their close contacts - individuals, educational institutions or business's they would have been in contact with for longer 15 minutes and within two meters within a certain timeframe. 3. To contact the close contacts and to notify them that they might have Covid19 and set them up for testing while offering public health advice and answering any questions they might have. It is also conducted to determine whether testing is necessary.

Social services Co-op placement with Limerick Mental Health sub group "Le Cheile" (Together). Le Cheile is a volunteer organization which strives to support those suffering from a range of mental health issues. The organization offers a range of activities for its member ranging from art classes, men sheds, gardening, regional trips, free cups of tea and coffee and many other activities. Its staff members partake in important research to improve the quality of life of its members ranging from improved communication techniques, meditation and social rehabilitation methods. It was a pleasure to work here and the organization is highly recommendable, it may be voluntary but it is worth spending your free time here in order to make a difference.
