Xpert Marketing deal with clients that have reasonable grounds to make claims for industrial deafness from previous employment. I was initially employed in the customer acquisition department which involved generating and managing leads and dealing with any queries. The management soon noticed my impressive lead generation and excellent manner in which I dealt with clients and promoted me to the legal advisory section. This role involved travelling around the country interviewing clients and drafting official legal documentation in the form of industrial deafness claims. My work was then given to our partner solicitors if I believed our clients had reasonable grounds to make a successful claim following my interpretation of the strict set of legislative rules within the industry.

Ashton Hoyle Financial Planning Solutions employed me as part of my university sandwich degree course. This role involves learning all of the legislation that governs Automatic Enrolment - the new workplace pension scheme introduced by the Government legally enforcing every employer to assign certain employees to a pension scheme and make contributions on their behalf. Not only were we helping our current clients fully comply with the legislation, we were also appealing to other local businesses. RESPONSIBILITIES - Creating and monitoring all marketing materials in order to promote the business'​ new proposition. My work was dispersed through both digital and traditional channels through the means of; e-shots, direct emails to employers, local business magazines, Chamber of Commerce's website and Ashton Hoyle's website, social media (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook), blogs on relevant industry sites. Furthermore, I measured click-through rates and traffic to our sites and measured the successfulness of marketing campaigns using SalesForce and MailChimp. Another key part of my role was to research pension providers' offerings in terms of price and technology available to help deal with the administration; ensuring clients received the best value for money.I attended regular meetings with pension provider sales representatives and attended several presentations to get a true insight into what they have to offer.

Throughout my time at Tesco I was involved with almost every department available to staff on the shop floor. This has given me key skills in; cash handling, team work, maintaining quality customer service, dealing with enquiries/complaints and understanding the key logistics of the company. Furthermore it has given me practical experience in conjunction with my marketing related degree. My understanding of the industry as a whole, in terms of both corporate and product branding has vastly increased.
