I am an experienced technology executive, board director, and investor. I have built this experience over 35 years in the Telecommunications, Electric Utility, Oil & Gas and Agri-food industries. Half my career has been in Executive roles, and I've worked in small, medium, and large enterprises both in Alberta and Overseas. My natural habitat is in B2B companies looking to scale solutions that leverage IoT and SaaS and solve problems supporting the transition to clean energy solutions.I do private consulting through Valentis International, a management consulting and investment company I have run since 2003.I am an advisor the Alberta IoT Association, a Venture Partner with Weave VC, and an EiR with Foresight. For these roles, I am able to bring my experience as an executive, board member, and investor to the advice I give early-stage companies.I have a MSc Degree in Electrical Engineering, and a MBA, both earned from the University of Alberta.I am a member of APEGA and the Institute of Corporate Directors, and active in my community by working with children and adults in sports and wellness development. I am proud to be a Fellow in the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, where we work to make Canada better known to Canadians.
