I have worked in multiple industries, civil engineering being the premier one. I worked as a line cook in a couple of business's when I was younger before serving in the U.S. Navy. While I was in the Navy my MOS was an Equipment Operator in the U.S. Navy Seabees, Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 11. While I was in the military I gained many skills, most important of all leadership as I ranked up to E-4. I was licensed on many pieces of heavy construction equipment including front end loaders, bulldozers, track/backhoes and excavation equipment as well as armored vehicles. I worked at a gym called the Maverick for two years after I got out of the military, mainly front desk and maintenance while I was going to school. Times got tough after a while so I had to quit school and get a full time job that offered more, I worked for a company in Fort worth Texas called Aftermath LLC for about 7 months. At aftermath I cleaned up traumatic events including suicides/homicides, accidental death, hoarding situations and bio-hazardous removal situations. Shortly after I started going to school part time again and could not continue working there as my job was 24/7 on call. While I was going to school part time, I got a job at Terradyne Geotechnical engineering. At Terradyne I served as a CMT(concrete materials technician), earning a certification in field testing, also called the ACI level 1. At Terradyne my main job was to test earth materials at construction and excavation sites for density and moisture using a nuclear density gauge to test the materials. I also did plenty of concrete density and air psi testing, alongside with some geolab work including finding material plasticity and moisture. I worked for Terradyne for about a year and I quit because i decided to go back to school full-time as the hours at the job would have conflicted a full-time school schedule. I am currently attending University of Texas and I will be a senior in the spring of 2021.
