As the General Manager at Republic Services, I oversaw the daily operations of a $150 million business unit, managing a team of 300 employees, and delivering exceptional customer service, safety, and environmental compliance. I also led the implementation of multiple strategic initiatives, such as the acquisition of a competitor, the launch of a new recycling program, and the optimization of the fleet and routing systems. Previously, I was the Director of Operations at CSX, where I was responsible for the operations, maintenance, and safety of the rail network across the Southeast region, handling over 1,000 trains per week. I have a PhD in Organizational Leadership from the University of Florida, where I conducted research on the impact of leadership styles and organizational culture on employee engagement and retention. I also have a MBA and a BA in Business Administration and Management from the same institution.
