A native of Santiago, Chile, James has reported world news for a decade as a foreign correspondent on the field and the studio. He has diversified his career with experience in the corporate business as a communication consultant for development financial institutions, joining IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, in 2023.In 2019, James embarked on a milestone in his career as Canal 13's Foreign Correspondent based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, covering the 2023 election in Argentina, the 2022 election live from Brazil, the funeral of Diego Maradona during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the Coronation of King Charles III in London. Previously at Canal 13 HQ (in Chile), he covered foreign affairs daily, such as the 2016 US presidential elections and the Paris terror attacks. His experience was enriched with field assignments in places such as Israel, the Palestinian Territories, Argentina, Peru, and the Falkland Islands.In 2018, James graduated with Merits at Cardiff University's MA in International Journalism as a Chevening scholar, the prestigious UK Government international scholarship program for future leaders, influencers, and decision-makers. He was the only scholar selected among 600 Chilean applicants.
