The bulk of my efforts has been focused on designing and building a custom social media application that can efficiently deliver live video to a global audience while smoothly managing user interactions and engagements even during high-traffic periods. My tasks involved creating a custom, largely stateless software architecture that employs Microservices to handle the majority of its functionality, along with a virtual DOM (VDOM) interface functioning as an interactive application. With limited knowledge of "Big-Tech" technology, and without any source code to guide me, I undertook the task of reverse-engineering the technology behind Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok to make this project a success.My objective was to enhance performance while maintaining high standards. To achieve this, I employed a media compression technique on images and video files, reducing their size while preserving their quality. Once uploaded, the media files are processed by worker processes, which compress each file, transfer them to a content delivery network (CDN), and notify the user that their media has been successfully posted.I designed a custom framework for swift deployment of Node.js applications, serving as some of the Microservices responsible for various social features such as notifications, messaging, video feeds, and others.I have also developed the mobile application for this social network, along with its custom API for data feeds. The network is currently pending launch.In parallel to the above, I have been developing a new custom hybrid CMS application, which can be used as either a standalone or headless SaaS application.Other Projects Include: + Converting jQuery to vanilla JavaScript.+ On-site Search Engine Optimization (SEO)+ Custom workarounds for Constant Contact.+ Working with AI / Machine Learning.

I was recruited to assume the newly available position of Lead Developer, with the mandate to oversee all digital assets and manage the development team.Kalidy is an enterprising and visionary entrepreneur, with numerous businesses run by a single system. Some of these ventures include real estate, car rentals, and a thriving Kia dealership which required significant attention.During my tenure, I made substantial contributions to enhancing the system performance, designed and developed the Kalidy Homes website, created engaging interactive campaigns for the Kalidy Kia website, and built a custom digital display application with an appointment management system.Although I greatly appreciated my experience at the company, due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, I had to depart and switch to remote work.

I was instrumental in establishing the agency and brand to support the growth of local businesses in Oklahoma City and its environs. I trained a new team of aspiring developers, designers, and marketers to eventually take over when they were ready, as my role was always intended to be temporary.During my time with the agency, I worked on a diverse range of projects for direct clients and acted as a resource for overflow work from other agencies. In addition to the typical web and software development roles, these projects also encompassed mobile app development, microservice creation, video commercial production, and event management.One of the most memorable projects I was part of during my time with the agency was supporting a local senior center, a non-profit organization facing severe funding issues. We successfully transformed some of their internal events into public fundraising events, surpassing their budget expectations.

We prioritized the goals for each page, identified the target audience, developed personas, created wireframes, and charted user flows prior to starting the design process.During my tenure with this agency, I oversaw the development of multiple custom applications, including e-commerce platforms, restaurant menus, tour/appointment booking systems, and listings. I supervised over 50 new brand designs and re-designs, developed more than 150 websites, managed over 25 SEO services, and implemented social media marketing strategies.With my contributions, this agency transformed from a minor player to a formidable competitor in the industry. Unfortunately, Hurricane Irma in 2018 caused significant damage, impacting not just the agency, but also many members of my team, including myself. As a result, I was forced to relocate.

I maintained close collaboration with my team to ensure seamless communication and uphold high standards of quality.During my tenure, I took the initiative to independently design, plan, and build two fully customized content management systems. This improved performance, added features, increased security, and optimized search engine optimization (SEO).While at the agency, I was honored to work with several renowned brands including Pilot Pen, E3 Spark Plugs, Harrell and Harrell, Prolingo, All At Home, Metabolic, and Best and Flatt.

As the lead web developer, I oversaw custom software development, custom WordPress plugin creation, and website design projects. During my time at Artex Studios Atlanta, the team was recognized by our peers as a leading web development team, renowned for our innovative and creative solutions and ability to accomplish seemingly impossible tasks.My initial foray into agency work was a defining moment for me. Despite my inexperience in various aspects of my role, I was able to rapidly acquire knowledge and adjust my approach, all while ensuring that projects remained on track. In my free time, I dedicated myself to mastering the necessary languages and acquiring new skills so that I could grow with the agency. With persistence and hard work, I progressed from a junior developer to a senior lead developer.In 2003, I took on a personal project to create my first custom e-commerce software, complete with a basic CMS. To accomplish this, I utilized an open-source PHP forum software as a reference to reverse engineer a software design. The following year, this software was applied to a client project. This was the moment that earned my spotlight with the agency.In 2006, I was assigned my first WordPress project, marking my introduction to this platform. I quickly familiarized myself with the WordPress API and within 24 hours, had already begun work on a custom theme and two custom plugins for the project. From 2006 and beyond, I became the go-to person for the agency's most challenging projects. My superiors dubbed me a "prodigy" and I gained the reputation of being a versatile problem-solver, a reputation that has followed me to this day.
