My passion was kindled at the tender age of 8, enveloped by the soulful melodies of my father's jazz collection, igniting a lifelong fascination with rhythm and melody.As the 90s unfolded, I found myself drawn into the rhythmic cadence of hip-hop and rap, tracing their origins back to the soulful roots of funk and soul. This revelation became a driving force behind my relentless pursuit of vinyl treasures, leading me to scour record stores, op-shops, and thrift stores in search of sonic gems that would fuel my creative endeavors.Venturing beyond the familiar shores of my homeland, I embarked on a transformative journey to Japan, where my passion for music converged with the art of sampling. Armed with an Akai MPC 2000xl and a pair of Technics turntables, I traversed the length and breadth of the country, delving into hidden alleyways and obscure record shops in pursuit of sonic inspiration. Over three years, I explored over 150 stores, amassing a collection of rare vinyl that would become the cornerstone of my musical expression.Despite an 8-year detour into the corporate world, my love for music never waned. It was during this hiatus that I rediscovered my innate creative instincts, channeling my sculptural expertise into crafting handmade 45 Rpm adapters—a fusion of form and function that laid the groundwork for the Dr. Diggns webstore.From its humble beginnings, Dr. Diggns has evolved into a premier online destination, catering to the discerning tastes of Australia's and the world's most passionate vinyl DJs and enthusiasts.
