As an Arboriculturist, I work from a practical level, I cultivate and manage trees, the work I have undertaken, both rural and urban, including tree conservation, felling, inspection, maintenance, preserving, planting and protection, pruning, thinning and tree surgery, often using a specific range of heavy equipment.Applying my knowledge of tree biology for effective management of equipment, tree care techniques, maintenance and planting contracts and negotiating clients' requirements, I have move away from the old “Tree Surgery” approach to the modern “Tree Care” methods. Conducting development site tree inspections, surveys and giving pre-planning advice on topics such as the effects a proposed development may have on trees in the area, and how best to retain them and incorporate them into the finished project.
