Our Moon is an organization focused on providing opportunities for High Achieving Low Income children to access tertiary education in Zambia.

In March 2019, four friends and colleagues working in the third sector posed a question...​“Could we create a meaningful learning experience that would help the next generation to change our world for the better?”​We believe that in order to truly change the world we must all take the long view, educate ourselves now in order to do the most good later. We must fully understand the richness of our cultural diversity and the challenges we as global citizens face, not just in theory but in practice. Enter Education with Insight.Education with Insight (EwI) fosters aspiring development professionals through exposure to the realities of development work. We design immersive programmes in Kenya, delivered by influential practitioners and sector leaders, that contextualise the academic study of development, providing insight into the richness and complexity of the challenges facing developing nations.

- Oversaw rapid growth in turnover.- Devised and implemented staff policies and procedures as well as being responsible for governance concerns.- Oversaw the formation of a trading subsidiary in the UK in line with guidance from the Charity Commission, to answer the need for ethical international challenge events for Dig Deep.- Became the first and only UK Charity to be awarded "Partner for Responsible Travel" by the Kilimanjaro Porters Assistance Project for excellence in in-country treatment of mountain crew.- Introduced and developed the organization’s first CRM system without third party support.- Relocated to Kenya in 2015 until mid-2018 to oversee the growth of our staff team and programme. Recruited and inducted new staff.- Embedded organizational ethos and financial controls, systems and processes across regional offices to ensure ease of reporting.- Designed and implemented paper free Monitoring and Evaluation systems to capture quantitative and qualitative data to demonstrate impact and embed learning over a 5 year cycle.- Lobbied at Parliamentary and Executive levels culminating in historic co-funding agreements with County/National Government and the provision of free sanitary pads to Kenyan schools.- Instigated “Dig Deep 2.0” on my return from Kenya to meet a strategic imperative to shift reliance away from particular income streams towards a more balanced portfolio.- Led on Major donors and corporate partnerships.- Overhauled communications strategy for regular givers including the launch of an Ambassadors Programme.- Launched several fundraising products.- Supervised successful fundraising campaigns including Period Pride.- Improved internal communications to ensure cause related news was being disseminated to all staff.
