The team consulted with engineers to develop specifications that utilized the best findings from this research.• I negotiated construction costs with bidders on the project.• I leveraged a state competitive grant ($300,000) and secured additional funding to construct a $573,000 (construction cost) aquatic facility at a cost to the YMCA of $133,000. Multi-Purpose Gymnasium Facility for Chesterfield YMCA Branch• I coordinated a team of volunteers and staff from multiple Y branches to develop a detailed bid specification package.• I led the staff and volunteers through the bid process. • I served as the Project Manager, working with the general contractor, sub- contractors, and state/county agencies to insure project stayed on schedule and budget.• I served as Project Manager and monitored construction on site, on a day-to-day basis.Day-to-Day:• I opened and guided a 25,000 square foot YMCA facility in Chesterfield SC.• I marketed the facility to the community and exceeded membership goals for first operating quarter by 30%, and first year by 73%.
