In this role, my main responsibilities include:• Co-authoring the first ever, voluntary Code of Conduct governing the delivery of alcohol ordered online in Australia which was globally recognised by the International Alliance for Responsible Drinking (IARD) as best-practice, industry-leading policy.• Proactive engagement and collaboration with Australian governments at all levels on behalf of packaged liquor retailers.• Development and execution of lobbying and advocacy campaigns to secure positive legislative and regulatory outcomes for the retail liquor industry.• Communicating strategic advice to the CEO and Retail Drinks Board on major policy issues affecting the industry, including relevant opportunities and threats for the organisation.• Providing expert witness testimony at parliamentary inquiries to influence government decision-making processes.• Production and output of written work including submissions, media releases, speeches, magazine articles, social media posts, website content and electronic direct newsletters (EDMs) distributed to all members.• Management of a diverse set of internal and external industry stakeholders and maintaining key relationships with state and territory government regulators and ministerial advisers.• Advising members on substantive issues affecting their businesses including liquor licensing matters and their various state and territory-based regulatory obligations.

In this role, my main responsibilities included:• Writing submissions on behalf of industry to various Federal and State Government parliamentary inquiries;• Publishing and circulating media releases regarding significant developments of interest to the tourism and hospitality sectors;• Conducting detailed analyses of major policy announcements from State and Federal Governments and disseminating relevant information to members;• Quantitative analysis of ABS retail trade, business count data and Department of Employment labour force modelling;• Producing R&CA's annual Benchmarking Report – a comprehensive, industry-recognised report monitoring key trends across Australia's hospitality sector;• Attending meetings with State and Federal Ministers and Shadow Ministers as well as senior officials in Government Departments to lobby on industry's behalf;• Coordinating and managing all relevant aspects of the Association's public affairs campaigns;• Writing news articles, opinion pieces, speeches, formal correspondence, website content and blog posts detailing major policy priorities of the sector;• Developing and maintaining links with key internal and external stakeholders through regular participation in various working groups, policy roundtables and committees;• Giving evidence at public hearings for parliamentary inquiries.

In this role, my main responsibilities included:• Producing and distributing Barton Deakin ‘Briefs’, high-level analyses of developments within the public policy and government spheres.• Working with state and national consultants on research tasks for clients across a wide range of sectors.• Liaising with government stakeholders and representatives.• Managing company website and other digital media channels.• Maintaining regulatory requirements including the updating of Federal and State Lobbyists Registers.

In this role, my main responsibilities included:• Profiling major companies, organisations, individuals and government agencies. • Producing briefings, media reports, newsletters and event collateral. • Researching trade, investment and regulatory issues.• Liaising with Council members, partners and official contacts.• Participating in high-level policy forums with senior Australian and European business and political leaders.

In this role, my main responsibilities included:• Drafting and editing correspondence to key stakeholders. • Updating and maintaining contact databases.• Assisting with the planning, execution and follow up of events.• Providing administrative assistance to the Chief Executive Officer.
