ECi is a rapidly growing ERP software company serving small business in industries such as manufacturing, office products, service technology and building & construction. My team is responsible for developing an integrated technology ecosystem including Salesforce, Salesforce CPQ (SteelBrick), Service Cloud, Financial Force PSA, NetSuite, Pardot and Sharepoint. The team serves ECi's corporate office and business units to share key business information across the company. The team just completed a rollout of Salesforce Service Cloud for the support teams (5 vertical divisions and 200+ service reps). This is a major step to building out a truely integrated ecosystem across the company - mostly built on the Salesforce platform. Service reps and sales are better able to collaborate, and customer data is kept up to date. We're also in the final stages of launching Salesforce CPQ. This is a quoting engine built into Salesforce that brings much needed structure to the sales, quoting and post-sales process. The full quote-to-order sales process runs within Salesforce, and the completed orders are pushed to NetSuite for invoicing. This improves efficiency, eliminates manual entry, and vastly improves the 360 view of the customer.

My primary role is in managing lead generation, sales management, Salesforce and Pardot administration and providing ongoing analysis of marketing results to drive additional new business sales.

Chicago AMA is the largest chapter of the American Marketing Association and it's a group I've been a part of for several years as a board member and volunteer. It serves the Chicago marketing community with an innovative mix of educational programs and networking opportunities.My role was to streamline operations and pass as much as possible back over to the volunteer base, so when we hire a permanent ED we hire for what we need rather than what's convenient. While at Chicago AMA, we managed to cut costs by 38% while still hitting revenue targets, yielding a net margin of 22%. Our original "bad economy" budget only called for a 2.2% margin.

Exceleration Group is a division of Pepper Group, a full-service B2B marketing and branding agency based in Palatine, IL. I've worked with Pepper Group for several years through the Chicago AMA. It was the SEO firm I hired when I worked at the American Marketing Association, and based on their performance I leapt at a chance to work with them.

I originally joined the group through MarketingPower.com, a for-profit subsidiary launched by the American Marketing Association to develop an online portal for the marketing profession. My first responsibility was developing all the content on the site, including newsletters, volunteer contributors and syndication agreements with various business publishers. I quickly took a more active role in some of the Web design and development of the site, including managing a successful site re-design in 2002. In 2003, I was promoted to manage what had become the Internet marketing division of the AMA. Major successes included building the Job Board from a $100,000 per year asset to $1.4 million per year though the creation of a marketing-focused job board network with other associations. I also managed what had become an educational webcast program that drove $1.5 million per year in sponsorship revenue.
