Accomplishments:• Managed the personnel, budget, and training of diverse medical specialty organizations which included: medical logistics, veterinary, combat stress, optometry and preventive medicine.• Planned, directed and supervised the resettlement of over 300 employees, dependent families and $27 million worth of equipment, on time and within budget. • Coordinated with European Installation Command for new facilities, including space for administrative and support operations and family housing. • Established a medical simulation training site that provided advanced first aid/trauma training to U.S. and international Soldiers; improving individual job skills, and enhancing international partnerships and building partner capacity. The program is a cornerstone for international medical engagements in Europe.

Established the framework for the Medical Readiness and Training Exercise program at USARAF. Led planning and synchronization of medical exercises and engagements in Africa; designed three medical exercises that enhanced host nation medical capacity and provided realistic training for U.S. and host nation medical forces. Advocated for and secured over $600,000 in funding for medical supplies to support humanitarian missions. Coordinated with non-governmental organizations, local government officials, and host nation medical personnel to provide humanitarian medical support to local populations.

Managed the U.S. Army’s largest department of Primary care with seven primary care clinics serving over 96,000 beneficiaries providing over 397,000 patient visits annually. Executed a $25 million budget; conducted extensive analysis to enhance clinic performance, data quality, provider productivity. Provided oversight of the establishment of a new, $9.4 million primary care clinic; responsible for initial staffing, validating equipment purchases and establishing clinical work flow systems to enhance patient care. Clinic opened on time and within budget. Supervised seven clinic administrators.

Planned, coordinated and synchronized combat medical operations, ensuring flexible, uninterrupted combat health support for over 35,000 deployed military personnel. Flawlessly planned for multiple contingencies, ensuring adequate medical support through troop surge operations while deployed to Iraq. Coordinated Pre-Deployment Trauma Training, providing trauma and hands-on tissue training to over 125 medics. Coordinated tactical combat medical care training to 27 physicians and physician’s assistants, dramatically enhancing combat medical care. Supervised 24 personnel.
