CurrentEndress+Hauser is a privately owned instrumentation and process automation company based in Switzerland. We produce and supply analytical instrumentation to a range of sectors including oil and gas, energy, food and beverages and life sciences. The Group has a network of 100 companies in 44 countries around the world generating net sales of over €2 billion. As General Counsel and Company Secretary for Endress + Hauser in the UK I report directly to the Managing Director and have responsibility for all legal and regulatory matters affecting the Company. I also provide support to EMEA members of the Group as needed. I am driven to provide high quality, business-focused advice in a dynamic environment. My aim is to provide all levels of the business with strategic and proactive legal support.The nature of my role requires a generalist approach and engagement with the business that goes beyond purely legal issues. My day to day legal responsibilities include:•Drafting and negotiating complex, high value, international agreements across a range of sectors;•Providing support to the business on day to day contractual matters (reviewing standard terms and NDA's);•Ensuring compliance with regulatory and compliance focused legislation (Bribery and Corruption, Data Protection and Modern Slavery Act)•Daily involvement with tender preparation and contract review;•Preparation of precedent documentation including T&C’s and NDA’s;•Providing legal training and updates to the business as needed;•Pre-litigation support and litigation management;•Dealing with all Insurance matters affecting the Company;•Supporting HR;•Manage the supply of all external legal services.As Company Secretary I also deal with the following:•Responsibility for all areas of compliance work to ensure full compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations;•Provide direct advice to the Directors at board meetings;•Responding to shareholder queries.
