As the Global Head of TA for Nike's consumer businesses I led a number of teams distributed through all the global markets: In the Americas I led a corporate recruiting function and a large distributed field recruiting team, with additional matrix responsibility for our in-house shared services function for volume hiring. In APAC, EMEA and Greater China I led both the in-country functions + the relationship (and delivery model) with Nike's external RPO partner.

As the global head of recruiting I led a broad set of teams both locally and internationally:Projects, Tools & Technology - in addition to managing all of our systems, vendor and media relationships worldwide (eg LinkedIn, Workday) this team focused on innovation and newness in the recruiting process In the Americas I led three core teams spanning early career hiring, volume hiring and corporate recruiting, that in total averaged out around 10,000 hires in a typical year:University Recruiting - our campus team had a dual focus on events based hiring and ensuring we had on-campus presence at key partner schools in the USCorporate Recruiting (Tech and Non Tech) - a team of full-lifecycle Recruiters that managed the end-to-end process for all home and field office hiring, meaning our direct-hire ratio was always north of 90%Operations - a shared-services team in Texas handled a combination of upstream activities supporting home office hiring (such as sourcing and scheduling) in addition to all the downstream activities for all volume hiring both in the Retail field and in the Distribution Center Network

Based at the European HQ in Brussels, I led TA for the region across Corporate and Retail hiring, with a geographically distributed team offering services in 14 languages across 22 countries. Led the initial roll-out of Workday Recruiting to the region and subsequent cross-border retail roll-out

Forever 21 are a large and complex organisation with a lot of moving parts, and I was hired to architect and guide the journey to become a best-in-class recruiter and employer of choice. Working between Los Angeles, London and Shanghai I built the new international corporate recruitment team, and in addition to establishing teams in each location I also led the roll-out of globally consistent talent acquisition practices to the major international markets (Europe and Asia-Pacific). In addition to direct responsibility for all international corporate and ecommerce recruiment, I also had matrix responsibility for retail recruitment in Europe. Forever 21 currently have over 30,000 staff across stores, distribution centres and support offices (with a presence in 23 countries worldwide)

As the Global Head of Recruitment I led the group through the hyper-growth years, joining as the first in-house recruiter (when the revenue was $MM) and leaving having established the internal recruiting function (tech, non-tech + supply chain/volume) and seeing the business grow to $BB revenue through YoY triple digit growth + multiple M&A rounds.Throughout this time it was my principal duty to ensure that the NET-A-PORTER Group had the wherewithal to attract 'the best, the brightest, the funniest and the nicest' people into its family of businesses - wherever they happened to be in the world.
