As a Deputy Headteacher at Heworth Grange School, I am responsible for ensuring the quality of education for all students, and the professional learning and development of all staff. I have over ten years of experience as a science teacher (physics specialism) and over six years of senior leader experience, working in challenging and diverse contexts in the North East.I am driven by the need to eradicate educational inequality and empower students to achieve their full potential. I am an enthusiastic and dynamic leader and educator, who values collaboration, research, and innovation. I have a strong academic background in physics, with a Master of Science (MSci) from Imperial College London and a year of study in quantum photonics at the Institut polytechnique de Grenoble. I am also a proud Teach First Ambassador and a graduate of the Education Leadership (Teach First) programme, and hold a PGDE from the University of Warwick.
