James commenced his career always with an underlining passion for sales and business. Learning skills in sales and media environments, he joined the family business in 2006 working his way up from Sales and Account Management to Commercial Management and Product Development to COO.Commercially driven, James was responsible for the company’s overarching strategy, sales’ performance, (PA circa US$75M) and profitability, managing Top to Top stakeholder relationships with an emphasis on dealing with financial institutions. A major achievement entailed the establishment and expansion of North American and European markets, integral to the global growth of the company, enhancing both revenue and profitability.Highly intuitive, closely mentored by his father, Jeff, the early company focus was on managing existing and new licensed and proprietary products for ANZ distribution. James with his entrepreneurial spirit and zest for innovation spear-headed the company, being instrumental gaining licenses across the most “sort-after” categories within the ANZ markets. New Product Development was born with licensed products to meet demand, adding another notch to James’ belt.

Hunter Products is a family business founded, and led late Jeff Hunter, an internationally recognised, highly successful and respected member of the Toy community.
