As the Lead XR Disruptor and Department Head of Art History, AI, and Visual Culture at Lindenwood University for over three years, I leverage my PhD in AI and my extensive background in art history, game design, and leadership to identify, adopt, develop, deploy, and assess emerging technologies in the field of XR for education and industry. Additionally, I also oversee programming in Human-Centered AI, which seeks to empower learners of any background for an AI-driven future, no matter professional goals. I have more than 100 research collaborators and publications, and I regularly consult on AI integration projects with various partners and clients.My mission is to create equitable, engaging, and innovative learning experiences for learners of all backgrounds and disciplines, using immersive realities and AI as powerful tools for transformation and impact. I have established and lead the Immersive Arts and Culture Hub and the XR and Gaming Lab at Lindenwood, which provide cutting-edge resources and opportunities for the whole campus community. I also serve as the Department Head of Art History and Visual Culture, the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Emerging and Disruptive Innovation in Education, and an Expert in Collaborative Residence at CrowdDoing, a global platform for social impact and collective intelligence.
