In 2017 I transitioned back into web development picking up react and node. Since then I have worked to both broaden and deepen my knowledge and skills in web technologies. In addition I've experience with several CMS platforms including Craft, Sanity, and Dato and in particular have been able to develop my skills around content modelling.As a developer at inlight I have initiated and been a key contributor to internal projects such as the standardisation and documentation of Inlight's javascript coding styles and choices, as well as creating our own library of reusable react components. The latter has now been leveraged on more than 10 websites.

As the senior QA at Inlight my responsibilities included performing testing across Inlight's project portfolio but in the last couple of years, I have been more focussed improving our software delivery processes and practices in order to produce a higher quality product. As such I have been spearheading initiatives to distribute the responsibility of software quality across the whole delivery team and running workshops to enable our team members in this.Some of these initiatives have included introducing new processes to developing user stories, new approaches to defining cards, planning the testing for each card as a team, as well as sharing more of the responsibility for performing the testing with the development team.Working at Inlight has allowed me the opportunity to work on a large variety of projects in web and mobile development primarily working with a javascript stack with a node.js backend and an angular.js or React front-end as well as objective-c, React Native, and java on mobile platforms. In addition, I have had the opportunity to experience testing interesting technologies such as iBeacon and LBT, GPS, mobile platforms (both Android and iOS) and real-time data services.

During my time with Aegis as a Quality Analyst I have had the opportunity to fulfill many roles during secondments to positions including:- Technical Trainer and Quality Lead. - Heading the QPO quality roll out to several client contracts- Design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the quality software currently used for auditing- Development of the quality guidelines and definitions currently in use. I have had the opportunity to design and develop several quality and reporting applications currently in use by Aegis Quality. Managing these projects involved analysing and identifying the application requirements, functional and interface design, development, implementation, and being able to deliver a finished product within the project time frame. These opportunities were both the biggest challenge as well as and most enjoyable aspects of me role at Aegis.The experience I have gained during this time have allowed me to develop personally and professionally in many areas. In particular I have been able to develop my skills and found a strong passion for problem solving as well as ongoing improvement and learning.
