1. Direct (in consultation with the Chief Analytics Officer) the development and implementation of a strategic plan to identify institutional priorities and goals for data management and advanced analytics on campus.2. Develop policies and procedures to ensure UTA provides industry-standard data management and analytics services3. Responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and making recommendations regarding University Analytics budget and purchases.4. Direct, train, mentor, and evaluate UA unit directors.5. Evaluates and implements new technology for data management and analytics services.6. Travels to national/state/local conferences and workshops. 7. Performs other duties assigned.

*Directs creation of course-ware including oversight of: instructional design, graphic and media production, programming, testing, and quality control. *Co-directs budget with Assistant Vice President *Liaisons with academic and administrative units on campus to define and provide adequate support, policy, and procedure for efficient operation of distance learning efforts on campus. *Liaisons with other entities including government, industry and non-profit for external partnerships. *Represents UT Arlington as a representative in the UT System and through professional organizations through committee and task force services. *Strategic planning for the role of the Center within the UT Arlington campus, including: goal setting, action items, implementation, evaluation and progress tracking. *Ensures compliance with applicable University policies and local, state, and federal requirements. *Seeks out funding sources for new distance learning efforts.

Organize, coordinate, manage, and direct the day-to-day operations of OIT Client Services. Develop and administer policies and procedures. Participate in long and short range planning processes to implement solutions for information technology needs.Plan, direct, coordinate, and ensure adequate computing resources are provided. Advise and consult with administration and management regarding plans, issues, policies, and problems associated with OIT Client Services. Monitor and evaluate results and adjust plans as necessary. Administer budget, carrying the full range of personnel management responsibilities for assigned employees. Plan, attend, and/or represent the department or the University in meetings. Maintain effective relationship with external, regulatory, and funding entities as required. Ensure compliance with applicable University policies and local state, and federal requirements.

Provide both technical and administrative direction and oversight of 24 staff and 90 students that comprise the Help Desk, Student Computing Facilities, and Training functions.Actively involved in, or directly responsible for:Establishing strategic direction of Client ServicesDeveloping annual budgetsMaintain and track internal controls to ensure compliance with university, state, and federal regulations.Reconcile internal M&O and payrollPlanning, organizing, and scheduling of support projects; overseeing implementation, evaluating resultsDevelop project cost, time-line, and performance expectationsRepresent OIT on university committees and campus functionsCultivate and advance relationships with vendors/suppliersOngoing evaluation of staff performance and implementation of staff developmentEstablish standards for work assignments, guidelines, and proceduresConduct individual annual performance reviewsDesign staff performance improvement plans when necessary
