James has been involved in management of innovative media technology businesses for over 20 years. After delivering the infrastructure underpinning the UK’s first commercially available out-of-home digital media channel and Europe’s first multi-channel HD television offering, he moved on to deliver change programmes for two of the world’s most recognised broadcasters.He then moved agency-side and joined Razorfish, heading up the technical design and operation of global marketing platforms for some of the world’s largest brands such as Unilever, McDonald’s, Audi, and Kellogg’s.It was during his time at Razorfish that he recognised that the commercial and open-source vendors in this space were targets for a disruptive innovation and so set up Service Agility, a consulting business that built and sold Scafld, a next generation content marketing CMS.He's since used his experience building a successful tech startup to help other startups realise their propositions, putting in place frameworks to systematically identify and manage risk, validate launch products through iterative development, prototyping and targeted testing, and identifying and managing towards growth goals through a combination of operational efficiency and targeted growth marketing.
