Working as part of the Talent Acquisition team at Shop Direct, I am responsible for identifying and securing the best talent into our Liverpool HQ within IT and Finance. My responsibilities include managing the end to end candidate journey from sourcing/talent identification, through to offer stage. Whilst also managing the agency relationships in relation to both permanent and contract roles.I also worked in partnership with the Hiring Managers to discuss and agree how best to approach the market in order to find the most suitable talent for a position. This would also include putting a suitable assessment plan in place to ensure candidates coming in for interview had the best opportunity to demonstrate their skills and capability for the role.During my time at Shop Direct I have also been involved in squad work in order to enhance the candidate experience from the moment they click onto our website to search for a role. This involved working with our UX function to investigate and test assumptions within a controlled environment, ensuring the changes made were informed by the results of the research.Shop Direct is the home of Very.co.uk, Littlewoods and Very Exclusive. We have a clear purpose in place – to make good things easily accessible to more people. 2016/17 saw Shop Direct record its 5th consecutive record breaking year with annual sales in excess of £1.9bn.
