Senior Project Leader, Civil And Commercial Development
CurrentLed business development and program development initiatives aimed primarily at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), and secondarily at other NASA Centers and other civil and non-profit agencies. Formulated, researched, devised business capture plans, and developed business proposals in the pursuit of new business. Acted as a capture manager or supported capture teams in pursuit of JPL, NASA or other civil customer business which support projects of national importance in the areas of robotic space exploration, space systems, science, and new technology development. Formulated partnerships between Aerospace, JPL, and other organizations to jointly pursue NASA activities. Managed proposal teams developing major proposals to both JPL and NASA. Developed collaborative activities with JPL and other organizations as a precursor to future business development efforts. Provided strategic inputs to the science community in their efforts to develop recommendations for future NASA robotic space exploration activities (with an emphasis on Mars). Developed and managed relationships with new and existing customers. Prepared and delivered major briefings and reports to management and customers. Coordinated development activities with appropriate Civil Space Programs Operations (CSPO) Division Program offices. Supported CSPO by serving as task manager on some captured work. Quadrupled Aerospace’s business with JPL over five years.
