I am a geotechnical engineer with over eight years’ consulting experience working on major infrastructure projects as well as residential developments. I possess particular skills in geotechnical design and analysis, construction phase support and supervision, reinforced soil wall design, shallow excavation ground deformation analysis, slope stability assessment, piling supervision & verification, instrumentation & monitoring and site investigations. Held the role of design geotechnical representative on major road, rail and piling projects. Project manager and lead geotechnical representative on a number of smaller projects liaising with client management and staff to ensure that deadlines and budgets are met.I am experienced with various specialist geotechnical analysis programs such as Slope/W, Plaxis 2D, Plaxis 3D Foundation, Repute, Wallap and L-Pile, as well as specialist spreadsheets in the design and analysis of reinforced soil walls, soil retention systems, shallow excavation ground deformation, slope stability, soft ground treatment, piled foundations etc., on a range of highway and rail projects. I also have extensive experience in construction support and site verification, in particular piling supervision and verification, earthworks verification, instrumentation & monitoring and general site surveillance.
