Processed hundreds of millions of member records from health insurance eligibility rolls identifying duplicate members across different payer datasets.- Event-based architecture using AWS Eventbridge, SQS, Lambda, Glue, and EMR orchestrated by Apache Airflow.- Intelligent Medical Network Team lead and technical lead for a 5-person team of cloud engineers.- Project: develop a real-time eligibility clearinghouse and migrate transaction processing from legacy clearinghouses on the fly. - Strangled legacy clearinghouses by implementing a proxy router and commandeering the legacy SSL certificate and FQDN. Used the "Compare and repair" technique to replay legacy transactions in the system under development, and when comparisons were favorable, that traffic segment could go live. Proxy router inspected transaction contents and used rules defined by business analysts to migrate traffic in segments from legacy clearinghouses to the cloud-native replacement. Repeat the process until all traffic is migrated to the cloud and legacy systems are idle and shut down.- Used Cloudwatch Alarms and integration with PagerDuty and Xmatters for SLO KPI misses (p95 roundtrip time, 4xx responses, etc.) and used Cloudwatch Dashboards for viewing system health at a glance.- Constrained by the on-prem legacy Oracle billing RDBMS system, developed a serverless tiered batch processing billing support system using AWS Lambda and SQS, capable of processing millions of billing events per hour.

I worked in the software applications group, helping to develop an internet access gateway for multi-dwelling units, e.g., hotels, apartments, etc.I helped develop both the runtime components in C (GCC) on Linux and administration/provisioning interfaces in Apache/Tomcat/JSP. This system is exactly the same type of system in use across the country in hotels for travelers to get internet access.

I developed S2 System’s 3270 terminal emulation and screen-scraping applications. In 1996 Ideveloped a CGI/HTML front-end to the 3270 terminal emulation which extended the reach of S2applications onto Web browsers. The applications were developed on both Stratus Unix and IBM AIXin C using the OS' native C compiler and linker.I participated in the full project lifecycle and I'd frequently volunteer for professional servicesengagements. Additionally on many occasions I traveled to customer sites to deliver week-longtraining classes.
