I am currently acting Chair, and immediate past chair, of the Sections Subcommittee to the Governance and Equality Committee of the CBA. The Sections Subcommittee acts as a liaison between the 40 or so sections of the CBA and the CBA Board of Directors, and works with the sections to address areas of broader interest affecting multiple sections of the CBA.

I provide support on a Canada-wide committee with respect to intellectual property issues. The CBA IP section is very active in advocacy on behalf of IP lawyers with government and other industry groups.

Head of the executive and the Board after many years of sitting on the Board. Led the organisation through a number of challenging transitions, including the changing of its employed executive leadership, and stepped in to run the day to day operations of the organisation as needed during the transitions.

I focused on technology contracting at DW2. I represented clients in highly complex outsourcing, licensing and procurement deals. I also helped a large number of small and medium sized enterprises with their day to day technology contracting and IP needs. I joined the partnership in 2012.

I have held various positions on this executive before becoming Chair in 2011. This section develops professional development programming and publishes a newsletter relating to the practice of information technology law in Ontario.

I worked in client services, assisting clients with joining the pension plan, leaving the pension plan, and buying back credit on the plan. During my summers at OPTrust, I developed a keen appreciation for the importance of client service and understanding the client's needs. I also assisted with some software development for OPTrust. I developed desktop tools and calculators to help other employees perform complex pension calculations.
