I’m dedicated to…maybe even obsessed with personal development & growth mindset. With over 10 years of experience helping individuals and teams overcome limiting beliefs while helping them develop, define & conquer their goals!I’m passionate about helping people creatively problem-solve their challenges in life, in business, in relationships, and helping them design a life they love! Always striving to positively impact my communities, I’ve started two businesses, including a nonprofit organization, while dedicating my passion to individuals and teams in nonprofit, social services, and higher education organizations. I am equally thrilled when driving team trainings, initiatives, managing programs, and creating synergy or working individually with clients that need a personalized touch, leadership, and coaching to succeed. Helping others be their best is where I shine. Inspired by my own poor choices as a youth and young adult, I became aware of my life’s events, my reactions, and my decisions to them. I connected all the dots and saw the birds-eye view of how it’s all connected and with this same perspective, I could radically redesign my life and live with purpose and passion. I went from literally struggling to survive to living my dreams to positively impact and help hundreds of people live better lives through my work. From being jobless and homeless to my decade of service work and starting two mission-driven organizations…I’ve been blessed to overcome so many obstacles and be presented with equally as many opportunities to give back, share, and inspire.Whether I’m helping people defeat their depression and anxiety, pull themselves out of the gutter, repair their relationships, start a new business, or help teams reduce stress, lead professional development, and improve communication - I always find myself at home being of service and helping others be their best. In past roles, I’ve not only maintained but increased student and client retention rates, including raising student retention from 89% to 93% during the pandemic and lockdowns. I was voted into Case Management Subject Area Group Leader, overseeing 12 nonprofit sites where I implemented professional development, self-care, case review, informational panels, and more for improved work satisfaction and performance. I also planned and budgeted a case management retreat to create a new case management mission statement. Individually, I’ve coached clients through a myriad of goals including overcoming depression & anxiety to getting sober and landing six-figure jobs.

Career SpecialistSeattle Goodwill Industries Oct 2018 - Jun 2019Lynnwood, WaUnder the Workforce Innovations Opportunity (WIOA) grant, I worked with a diverse workforce population from displaced workers, displaced homemakers, homeless and many more. My success in this role, like other roles, is attributed to my ability to build relationships with clients, community partners and employers. I actively listen to, use motivational interview and other techniques to build trust and rapport so that I can truly understand my clients' needs and barriers to success. After a relationship is developed I am able to confidently coach them using workforce and labor statistics data and give them general academic and career guidance. Rise/Bfet Case Manager & Employment SpecialistSeattle Goodwill Industries Feb 2017 - Oct 2018SeattleThis role was part of the RISE pilot program where I worked closely with difficult-to-reach, underserved populations that typically "fall through the cracks" of traditional employment and training programs. Specifically, the RISE program was designed to assist people in experiencing significant barriers to employment including homelessness, mental health, physical health, substance abuse, long term unemployed and other barriers. I conducted outreach to gain program participants while keeping a caseload of 20 to 30 clients. I built trust and rapport with my clients by actively listening to their stories and treating each person as an individual with specific needs and helping them navigate complex social service and institutional systems. Coaching clients on problem-solving skills while providing academic and career guidance. I also built relationships in the community in order to provide resources for specific barrier removal and with businesses for employment placements. Building relationships with clients, community partners and business partners has allowed me to be successful with program retention and employment placements. I recoded detailed case notes, tracked education and employment placements, ran reports using both paper and electronic databases including ETO, eJAS, and Caseworthy. Using reports and data I implemented program design changes as necessary to increase retention, participation, and successful outcomes. I became actively engaged in various internal boards (Innovations for Student Success Learning Community, HS21+ Program, Case Management and Employment Specialist Subject Area Groups, Goodwill’s Mentorship Program and Employee Giving Campaign) to assess Goodwill’s best practices, policies and outcomes toward student success. These additional responsibilities exemplify my time management skills, commitment to program development and organizational success. -
Adult Basic Education Case ManagerSeattle Goodwill Industries Nov 2015 - Feb 2017Marysville, WaAs Case Manager at Marysville JTE, my accomplishments illustrate my ability to help hard to reach individuals and maintain administrative responsibilities. I conducted assessments of students to determine barriers to employment and skill deficiencies. Subsequently, I worked with students helping them problem solve, removing barriers and guiding future education and employment opportunities. To accomplish this I familiarized myself with the local community, attending various networking events and working closely with Community Based Organizations (CBOs). This allowed me to connect various resources for difficult barrier removal and suggest appropriate skill building opportunities within Goodwill and at other CBOs or educational institutions. In this role I helped students hone their resume, cover letter and interviewing skills while aiding their job search and exploring self-sustaining career pathways. Additionally, I am familiar with ETO; recording detailed case notes, support services, employment tracking and running reports while maintaining student confidentiality. My hard work has paid off as I was voted Subject Area Group (SAG) Leader for Seattle Goodwill’s Case Management Team. In this position I assess the teams’ needs for communication, professional development, team bonding, tools, resources and self-care for improved job performance, function and work satisfaction. I planned and ran a case management retreat including venue, group activities, catering and building the agenda while maintaining budget restraints and delegating smaller tasks.
