• Organize Network members, allies and supporters to implement issue campaigns at the neighborhood, community, regional and state levels • Recruit and train organizational leaders, volunteers and activists to engage in grassroots organizing and citizen lobbying through the Network’s Advocacy Team program (A-Teams), by organizing Network members into geographically targeted committees. • Provide strategic guidance to the A-Teams around the Network’s local, state and national policy and planning efforts • Schedule, plan and conduct activities that promote the Network’s policy agenda and members’ efforts • Developed and honed expertise on housing and community development issues, programs and policies, and develop materials to support campaigns as needed • Assist in the organization’s media efforts, by developing background materials, press releases and other items as needed

• Oversaw and supervised the operations and political organizing staff of Pittsburgh, Harrisburg, Philadelphia, Delaware County, and Reading offices of Pennsylvania ACORN• Managed the daily operations including: financial, and logistics• Served as the ACORN liaison to Project Vote• Managed the election administration and quality control program with Pennsylvania ACORN.• Maintained a strong relationship with the various local county boards of elections throughout the voter registration campaign• Troubleshoot any problems or processing discrepancies that arose with voter registration applications• Responsible for getting the voter registration operation up and running (Faster than any other political organizer within the organization nationally in 2006)

Legislative Director—November 2006 - August 2007 • Main responsibility was to serve on the steering committee of the Philadelphia Campaign for Housing Justice, a coalition that included progressive labor unions, community development corporations, faith-based organizations, and dedicated individuals• Assisted in developing a strategy for the passage of a city-wide inclusionary zoning bill in the city of Philadelphia• Served as an adviser to Pennsylvania ACORN’s Political Action Committee (PAC).• Helped create and direct the 3-H (Housing, Heating, and Home Repair) Campaign
