- Responsible for the operations and management of the Physical Plant at the UVM Medical Center Main Campus, Fanny Allen, and all UVM Health Network VT Satellite locations. - Direct employed and contracted services that maintain building systems and infrastructure, and biomedical engineering. - Provide direct leadership for a team of 4 employees, and indirect leadership for 75 employees providing technical oversight, facilitating professional development, and delivering annual performance evaluations.- Responsible for compliance activities for The Joint Commission's Equipment Management, Life Safety and Utilities Management Programs.- Lead significant components of the organization’s sustainability program including energy management and conservation, mitigation of waste streams, recycling and overall reduction of the organization's carbon footprint.

- Responsible for oversight, management and execution of all building utility systems, building infrastructure, landscaping and non-medical equipment repairs and maintenance.- Provide direct leadership for a team of 6 employees, and indirect leadership for 50 employees providing technical oversight, facilitating professional development, and delivering annual performance evaluations. - Support and document compliance to all industry standards (i.e. Life Safety code, NFPA 99, Water Management Plan for Legionella prevention) as required by CMS/The Joint Commission.- Provide guidance and review to all capital planning and development projects and for coordinating tasks associated with construction projects.- Provide direct oversight of up to $3 million in capital project authorization and $18 million in operational expenses.

- Responsible for the 24/7 operation and maintenance of the central engineering plant (Boilers and Chillers), and site-wide HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration and medical gas systems for UVM Medical Center Main Campus.- Provide direct leadership for a team of 21 employees, providing technical oversight, facilitating professional development and delivering annual performance evaluations. - Prepare semi-annual reports to the State and Federal EPA for air emissions and fuel oil/natural gas usage.- Improve the efficiency and productivity of the team in performing predictive, corrective and preventative maintenance and capital projects. - Provide guidance and review to all UVM Medical Center planning and development projects.
