James Lougheed has 30 years of experience in the Semiconductor and electronics industry. James previously ran the largest business unit at MaxLinear as VP & GM of the High Performance Analog & Accelerator group and prior to that was Senior Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing at Exar Corporation. James also held management positions at Cirrus Logic, Apexone Microelectronics, Future Electronics and EDMI. Today James invests in Deep Tech, Fintech & Sports, as the founder and Chair of YaJa Ventures. James helps startups grow and scale and is currently invested in more than 100 startup technology companies and sports franchises. James is currently on the Board of Directors of Scalare Partners, on the Advisory Board of Mentium Technologies and a Strategic Advisor for TenXer Labs. James is also an investor in Leeds United Football Club with 49ers enterprises, an investor in Italian Serie A team Venezia FC, as well as being a General Partner on FanClub Sports Capital through YaJa Ventures, an advisory and investment firm. James consults for a confidential $10B AUM US hedge fund, and is also a member and investor at Silicon Catalyst Angels & Sand Hill Angels. James holds a Masters of Business Administration, Post Graduate Certificate in Management & Associate Degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering all from the University of Southern Queensland and completed the Stanford Director’s College at Stanford Law School and Stanford Venture Capital program at Stanford School of Engineering. James has lived and worked in Australia, Singapore, China and the US and speaks English, Chinese, Australian & Singlish.
