About James Lyons Iv
I founded Lyons Labs as a way to build a socially-conscious tech company. By considering how technology can be used as a social good, we are able to build custom solutions that empower small business owners to compete in an economy increasingly reliant on big data and artificial intelligence capabilities. I have an interest in how emerging tech poses a threat to our democracy, and how we can write code that protects instead of hinders our civil rights and liberties. I am a trained Political Scientist with a degree from Northeastern University, and previously worked at a Brand Strategy and Design agency supporting large clients such as Google, Nike, and the Harvard Business Review. My passion for politics and innovative spirit combined to guide me towards supporting small business owners and my current role today. Happy to chat with anyone interested in learning more about my views on artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies, democracy, and how they’re intertwined.
