Along with Race Director and race committee, organized all aspects of the Maui Marathon. This event has been held for 49 years and includes a full marathon, marathon relay, half-marathon, 10K and 5K.2,500 runners participate from 19 countries. This is the largest organized sporting event on Maui.

Solely founded company that provides MDU contract support for franchise cable operators, specifically, Comcast and Charter Communications. Company negotiates MDU contracts in several major markets from California to Massachusetts. Built to staff of 12 Independent Account Executives and 5 employees. Added a business partner in 2003 and we grew company to $1.6 million in annual gross revenues. Sold the company to our business partner in May of 2010.

Comcast purchased Jones Intercable in April of 1999.

Sherman Oaks, California

Responsible for the overall design, construction, activation and daily operation of cable television, telephone and security services in apartment communities throughout the region. Additional responsibilities included forecasting, budget preparation, financial decision-making, marketing strategies, technical operations, property conversions and property management relations. Districts comprising the region included southern California (including Hawaii), northern California, Portland and Seattle (including Alaska). Also responsible for hiring and training management and field associates.

Louisville, Kentucky Area

Responsible for the complete setup, activation and operation of this wireless cable television company servicing Louisville and portions of southern Indiana. Additional responsibilities included hiring and development of staff, financial decisions, development and implementation of internal procedures and marketing strategies for growth of operation. In this short time grew the company from nothing to 500 subscribers.

Greater Los Angeles Area

Responsible for management of complete 32,000 subscriber cable television systems servicing Sunland, Tujunga, Shadow Hills, Sun Valley, Sylmar, Lakeview Terrace, Pacoima and Burbank. Accomplishments include the conversion of the billing system, two basic rate increases, realignment of channels, introduction of addressable technology, introduction of pay-per-view, development of packaging, and raising subscriber base from 29,330 to 32,100. Annual revenues exceeded $12 million. Staffing included 4 managers, 2 supervisors and 36 additional employees. King Videocable is owned by The Providence Journal who purchased the Jones Intercable Lakewood cable system.

Lakewood, California

Responsible for management of complete 14,000-subscriber cable television company servicing the City of Lakewood. Main accomplishments included raising the penetration level from 41% to 52%, exceeded budgeted cash flow yearly, achieved the highest dollars per subscriber level in advertising sales in the company and maintained impeccable community and government relationships during the five-year period. Staffing included 4 managers, 2 supervisors and 26 additional employees. Jones Intercable of Lakewood was sold to The Providence Journal.

Kenosha, Wisconsin

Responsible for all start-up marketing and sales functions of this newly built cable television system. Notable accomplishments included achieving a 52% penetration level upon completion of the cable system and development of pay-per-view business (subscriber base of 17,000). Managed 8 sales representatives and 2 sales clerks.

Savannah, Georgia Area

Responsible for restructure and management of direct sales functions for the Savannah Cable Television Division consisting of subscriber base of 36,000. Major accomplishment entailed implementation of addressability converter project through direct sales. Responsible for management of 42 direct sales representatives.

Appleton, Wisconsin

Responsible for conducting all marketing functions and developing the direct sales department in this 12,000-subscriber cable system.
