My time at Subway started of as my first ever job and was just a Saturday job, this quickly progressed to me becoming the Assistant manager to the store I was located at which included training new members of staff, ensuring deliveries were sent in a prompt time, closing and opening the shop myself, and baking the bread along with prepping the veg and meats myself. My time at the Troon store ended after 4 years and I transferred to a store in Ayr where I downgraded back to a Sandwich Artist, this allowed me to fall in love my job once again and take on different roles under a new management and different set up under the same company.

For my Queens Award within Girls’ Briagde I got involved with Barnardos working in their local charity shop near me. While this was similar to my experience in Oxfam, this new role involved me learning new procedures and techniques that Barnardos used in comparison to Oxfam. The team was very supportive and engaged in helping me learn new things, be successful and make a difference in the shop.
